Pick a Damn Place privacy

Your browser asks before sharing your location. Google Maps receives that location for Google restaurant searches. Free community searches send it to the OpenStreetMap search provider. Links you open are subject to those sites’ privacy policies.

Party names, participant names, restaurant IDs, your search location and choices are stored for the active 12-hour party. Resetting the round renews that period. Expired parties are inaccessible and removed on subsequent session requests. Invitation links allow their holders to join; share them only with your party.

Google restaurant details are retrieved for display and are not saved in the party database or browser storage. Google photos open on Google Maps; this app does not download them. Anonymous monthly request counters enforce usage limits.

A participant credential is stored in your browser so you can rejoin your party. The hosting platform may maintain its own authentication and operational logs.
